Our Optometrists:

Mark Koszek graduated from the University of New South Wales in 1996. He completed his Master of Optometry in 2002 and Graduate Certificate of Ocular Therapeutics in 2012. Mark’s clinical interests include, orthokeratology, custom rigid gas permeable and scleral contact lenses for keratoconus, myopia control, ocular diseases, dry eye and children’s vision. Mark is a former president of Optometry NSW/ACT.

Amy Fortescue graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2010. Amy is therapeutically qualified and has a special interest in children’s vision, contact lenses, myopia control, orthokeratology and ocular diseases.

Ray Fortescue graduated from the University of New South Wales in 1978. Ray established his own practice at Ramsgate Beach in 1979, which became a part of EyeQ optometrists in 2007. Ray served as CEO of EyeQ from 2010 to 2024. Ray was also a former director of Eyecare Plus and a founding member of the Australian Optometric Panel. Ray is a fellow of the contact lens society of Australia. We’re very lucky to have him as part of our team.

Our Dispensing Team:

Suzana Babic has over 30 years experience in the optical industry. Suzana’s first job was working in an optical lab before transitioning into retail optometry. Suzana worked for Budget Eyewear and Medispecs in the south west of Sydney before moving to Lismore where she became a Specsavers franchisee. Suzana moved back to Sydney in 2016 where she took up a position as an operations and training manager for EyeQ Optometrists. We’re so lucky to have Suzana join our team.

Evangelia Spyrou. Eva is our newest team member. She joins from the beauty and fashion industries, having worked for Mecca, Sephora and Windsor Smith. Eva has also worked at Kambala school for girls as a teachers aid.
